“Do you only see private patients?”

We see all adult patients on a private basis only, but are happy to see the children of our registered private patients under the terms of the NHS while they are entitled to NHS treatment.

“What should I do if I have an emergency and need to see a dentist before my next appointment?”

You should contact the practice as early as you can in the morning as we have allocated emergency spaces throughout each day and will endeavour to see you as soon as we possibly can.

“I am not a registered patient at your practice but I have a toothache can you see me?”

We are more than happy to see unregistered emergency patients at our practice. We charge a fee of £85 for this appointment time, and this fee will cover any treatment that is required on the appointment to relieve your pain.

“I would like lighten the colour of my teeth but am concerned that whitening will damage the enamel?”

Whitening does not damage the enamel of your teeth at all. Occasionally some people experience some sensitivity while having the treatment but this is usually simple to control. Please contact us if you would like to discuss the different options to lighten your teeth.

“I have a gap between my teeth that I hate, what can be done?”

Depending on the nature of the gap it may be possible to consider orthodontics, crowns veneers or a bridge. Talk to us if you are concerned and we can discuss which treatment option would work better for you.

“I have an unsightly dark line around the edge of my crown that wasn’t there when it was first fitted”

At the time of fitting the edge of the crown would have been hidden under your gum. Over a period of time your gum can shrink back exposing the join line. The crown could be replaced, and with careful oral hygiene this could be preventable in the future.

“I would like to book an appointment to see the hygienist but I haven’t seen the dentist for a while”

Providing you have seen one of our dentists at the practice within a year we are happy for you to contact the practice to arrange a convenient time to see one of our hygienists.
